About Modern Wrenfield
Modern Wrenfield curates handwoven boho home decor — baskets and planters made from natural jute, for people who would rather own a few good pieces than a shelf of disposable ones.
We started with a small frustration. Most plant pot covers are moulded plastic pretending to be something else, and most decorative baskets are woven so loosely that they slump the first time you put anything in them. There is very little in between that is honestly made and honestly described.
So we keep the range small and say exactly what each piece is. Every product page names the fibre, the weave, the shape and the size, because "premium quality" tells you nothing and 16 x 16 inches tells you whether it fits the pot you already own.
What we care about
Craftsmanship. Every piece in the range is handwoven rather than moulded or pressed. That is why no two baskets are identical, and why small variations in the weave are a sign of the making, not a defect.
Natural materials. Jute is a fast-growing plant fibre that is spun and woven without plastic. We choose it because it ages well, because it is a renewable crop, and because it looks like what it is.
Timeless design. Undyed tan, a mustard band, a few white stripes. We choose shapes and finishes that will still sit comfortably in a room in five years, rather than colours that date by next spring.
Support that answers. One business day, every time, from a person who can actually look at your order.
How we work
We work with skilled weavers to produce a small, focused range rather than a catalogue of hundreds. We ship free within the United States on every order, with a 30-day return window and no restocking fee, and you pay in cash when your order reaches your door — nothing is taken upfront. If a piece isn't right, sending it back should not be a fight.
