Spot clean with a dry cloth or a soft brush, working along the rope rather than against it. Vacuum gently with a brush attachment. Do not machine wash, soak or bleach. Keep the basket dry — water the plant in its grower pot away from the basket, or use a saucer inside. Prolonged damp will stain and weaken jute rope.
